When clients engage Weatherbee Resources through a wide array of services, which include but are not limited to, clinical record audits, government investigations, appeals support, customized education, and various compliance-related matters, our team members rise to the challenge to provide expert advise, instructional guidance, consistent communication, and problem-solving strategies to ensure our clients are fully supported.

 

Our products are created by our hospice experts and through partnerships that are nationally recognized within the hospice community. These products are continuously updated based on new regulations, as our team keeps abreast of new developments and CMS requirements. In addition, our consultants are nationwide and provide expert content knowledge on all Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) regulations. Weatherbee works as a team to build positive relationships and superior experiences for every client we serve.

Carrie Cooley, RN MSN

Principal

 

Carrie Cooley is the Principal of Weatherbee Resources. Carrie joined Weatherbee in 2009 as an Associate Consultant and was hired as the Consulting Coordinator in 2012. 

 

In 2014, Carrie was promoted to Director of the Consulting Division and in July 2015, was promoted to the COO position. In July 2018, Carrie and Lynn Stange purchased Weatherbee Resources from owners Heather Wilson and Joy Barry. Carrie's operational, clinical, and regulatory expertise has been instrumental in her professional growth with Weatherbee and in serving Weatherbee's clients. In 2021 Carrie became the sole owner of Weatherbee Resources.

Pauline Judge, CAP-OM

Manager, Events & Operations

 

Pauline is the Manager, Events & Operations having previously served as the HEN Administrator prior to the sale of the Hospice Education Network (HEN) to Relias, LLC, in 2013. In this position, she was at the center of operations for all activities related to HEN subscribers, exhibiting at trade shows, pre- and post-production of courses, managing HEN databases and working with HEN faculty.

Pauline's current responsibilities include Weatherbee's line of products, management of all aspects of the Hospice Compliance Network (HCN) including monthly webinars, and set-up of the renowned Hospice Regulatory Boot Camp.

Nikki Knowles

Office Manager

​

Nikki joined Weatherbee in July 2018 and serves the team as Office Manager. Nikki has a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Early Child Development from the University of South Florida, Tampa.

 

She was an elementary school teacher for 13 years, Director of a local Child Development Center, and worked as Program Coordinator for a corporate business office in Tampa. While Nikki’s professional experiences were centered in the field of education, her passion for writing, editing, and organizational management tools prompted her to make a career change.

​

As Office Manager, Nikki manages a great deal of Weatherbee’s infrastructure, serves as a consistent contact for clients and collaborators, explores and expands social media outreach, and supports the Weatherbee staff in various capacities.

Lauren Templeton, DO FAAHPM HMDC

Physician Consultant

 

Dr. Lauren Templeton has been a Physician Consultant with Weatherbee Resources since 2017. As a physician since 2009 and a hospice and palliative medicine physician since 2012, Dr. Templeton began her career in internal medicine, but soon thereafter was drawn to end-of-life care due to its overall philosophy and her passion for ensuring a dignified death for her patients. As a hospice medical director and Hospice Medical Director Certified physician, she is perfectly positioned to assist your hospice physicians with compliance education! As a hospice medical director and Hospice Medical Director Certified physician, she is perfectly positioned to assist your hospice physicians with compliance education!

Dr. Templeton currently works in hospice as the medical director for a medium size not-for-profit hospice based in Texas. In this role, she assists with compliance, quality improvement and documentation review. She continues to participate in clinical care managing hospice patients in both the home care and inpatient setting.

Colleen O'Keefe, RN

Senior Consultant & Project Specialist

Colleen O’Keefe is the Senior Consultant & Project Specialist for Weatherbee Resources. Colleen has served as an RN Case Manager, Supervisor for a Continuous Home Care team, Clinical Educator, and Compliance Officer. Her clinical, regulatory, and leadership expertise allows her to deliver uncompromising consulting services.

As a Senior Consultant & Project Specialist with Weatherbee Resources, Colleen conducts clinical record audits for hospice organizations facing Additional Development Requests, writes independent expert cover letters to support technical and clinical eligibility for hospice care, and provides assistance and guidance throughout the appeals process.

Amy Francoeur, BAS, RN

Accreditation Consultant

Amy Francoeur, Associate Consultant with Weatherbee Resources brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to our team. Amy has spent the last 15+ years working in home health and hospice, successfully leading teams through ACHC and CHAP accreditation surveys. 

 

Serving in various leadership roles Amy has assisted in the development of non-profit hospice agencies to promote growth in census, create engaging QAPI programs, improve scheduling efficiencies and broaden employee learning platforms.
